Hula and Tahitian Dance Class

Class Schedule & Costs:

Baby Keiki Class(age 4-7)
Tues 5:00-5:40 pm, monthly tuition is $40
Keiki Class (age 8-11)
Tues 5:30-6:30pm, monthly tuition is $50
Wahine Class(teen/adult)beginners,
Tues 6:00-7:30pm, monthly tuition is $65
Wahine Class(teen/adult)intermediate/advance,
Tues 6:00-8:00pm, monthly tuition is $65
Registration  fee  of $35.00 is due upon enrolling. Registration fee includes pareo(wrap, warm up CD, and administration).
Classes teach ancient hula kahiko, hula auana and tahitian dancing. Students learn the language of Hawaii and Tahiti along with the culture and the difference between tahitian dancing and Hawaiian Hula. Students also learn dance routines that are used in performances. When asked it is optional on whether the student would like to perform or not. Costumes are an additional cost. Implements are used in class for Wahine's. 
Kane Class(open age men/boys) taught by Greg Tama Potjes: Next workshop is Saturday July 31st 9:30am. Cost is $20.

Private Lessons are available for enrolled students. Cost is $40.00 for 30 minutes.  
                                                          
Ipu Kahiko  Workshop with Anne Blankenship....Saturday, July 24th 9:00am-12:00 cost is $15(for monthly tuition students of Aloha Nui Hula) or $20 for open enrollment to workshop. Check in begins at 8:45am. IPU will be available to purchase if you do not have one. Please wear Pau skirt to class. No filming or audio is allowed. After class you are allowed to video for your own benefit to remember.

**Classes are taught by Auntie Anne.  Auntie Anne has 10 years of instructing experience and since September 2007 with Hula and Tahitian dancing. Her aloha heart and young blood makes it a fun and professional environment for everyone.

Classes are welcomed for any one who wants to learn the spirit and technique of polynesian dancing. Students who have no experience will be work with in a  format to achieve the basics of hula and tahitian dancing. Students who have experience will be coached on technique and the education behind the dance.

All dancers who dance for shows are required to pay for their costumes and make them with proper instruction from Aloha Nui Hula.
